Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga is pleased to announce its internship programme for 2011.  The programme is intended for Māori and indigenous students interested in advancing their skills and capacity in indigenous development research. Each student will work under the direction and guidance of a senior researcher within an existing programme of research aligned to the research direction of, but not necessarily currently funded by, NPM. Ten internships will be available for a 10 week period between November 2011 and the end of February 2012.  Actual starting and finishing dates should be determined by the supervisor.

Tumau

Open to full time Maaori and Pacific Island Students. Preference given to Postgraduate or 1st/2nd year students. Up to $2,000 each.

Raniera & Anihaka Higgins Scholarship

Ngaai Tauira are offering a total of 10 scholarships to the value of $500 each for the current academic year (2011). The Raniera & Anihaka Higgins Scholarship will be based on all of the following criteria:

  • Academic achievement
  • Commitment to Te Ao Maaori
  • Commitment to Te Herenga Waka Marae
  • Financial need

Applicants must be of Maaori descent and currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Victoria University for the current academic year.
